Why is the religious right pushing for Rick Perry to run for president instead of rallying behind Michele Bachmann?

His experience, I would imagine. If Rick Perry continues to balk at the idea, evangelicals will flock to Michele Bachmann. this assumes that Sarah Palin does not run and her star still shines among evangelicals. i am not convinced at the moment of either.
